If you have a website with current, relevant content but you realize that your visual presentation is looking a bit dated then it is most likely time for a redesign. Website redesigns can be tricky, but with the right planning upfront, the transition can also go smoothly. We are set up to help you through each and every stage of the process.
There is a strategy for redesigning a website. One key consideration is a place to build the new site out so that you do not disturb the current website. You do not want to interrupt the traffic flow or make the site look strange while you are in the process of rebuilding it. This is why we always build our redesigns on what we call a sample site. A sample site is a website that is built as a temporary placeholder. Only you can see the temporary site during the redesign but others still see your existing site.
What does it mean to redesign your website? Well, the meaning can range from changing out your images to adding new content. When it is time to redesign your website we will spend some time looking at your site and advise you as to what we think is working for you and what should change. If it seems like a completely new start is in order, we will discuss that with you as well.
When redesigning your website, we will provide you with a pre-install questionnaire which will guide you. It will help you pre-determine your desired outcome of the redesign and get your plans and information together. For example, will you be providing all new content or is the current content sufficient?
For more specific details on redesigning questions click on the link above for more information on this topic.
- Is my website mobile responsive?
- Does my website engage the visitor?
- Does my website pop?
- Does my website look exciting and appealing?
If you answered “no” to any of the above questions, it may be time for you to seriously consider redesigning your website. We look forward to working with you on this redesign project.
